Sterile and Particle Filter

A particle and sterile filter was to be developed and manufactured for flexible use with the largest filter surface possible for sterile extraction of medically active substances from pouch systems and vials. The filter material should be available in  hydrophobic or hydrophilic versions; the piercing spike should be made of plastic or stainless steel.

• The filter element is made of two injection-molded components, with the upper section holding the piercing spike and the lower section the Luer Lock connection. 
• The piercing spike is available either as a plastic spike or stainless steel needle. The customer can choose between hydrophobic and hydrophilic filter membranes.
• The filter can be precisely matched to the respective drug.
• The filters are supplied in sterile packaging with the sfm marketing authorization either as an individual product or as a component in application sets.
